In order to apply the tax, boats are separated into different categories, according to the overall length, by sections of 0.50 metres in length above 5 metres, and this up to 12 metres.

Above 12 metres, the categories are determined according to sections of 1 metre in length.

Moreover, boats whose width exceeds the measures indicated above for each category, are subjected to an additional charge, equal to a category's section.

These prices include the following services :
- fresh water to use on board,
- electricity provided up to 6 amperes, for domestic consumption, recharging the batteries, except for any thermal equipment,
- refuse collection,
- communication of and information about meteorological and nautical matters,
- postal and messages services,
- car park (no surveillance).
